asda do 5l fully synthetic for 20 notes. im not sure on the a rating though

LOL

Quantum Platinum 10/40 semi synth

what has that got to do with anything ?

I assume your taking the p!ss suggesting Asda oil, or do you meal a decent brand thats sold in Asda!?

Quantum Platinum 10/40 semi synth is the recommended oil

dont tell me your someone thats a brand snob. most oil is made by leading manufacturers just rebottled.

its the specification that counts. not what make is on the bottle

You may be correct and it may be the same stuff with a different label, however for total piece of mind i'd rather spend an extra £5!

I don't agree all oil is the same just because the specification is the same, i certainly wouldnt be putting asda oil in my car to test your theory or whatever vw recommend as that changes depending on what deal they have going.

I will stick to using Castrol EDGE Turbo Diesel 5W-40 may cost more but think it's worth it & has kept my Golf going nicely to it's current 140k

Oil is the same to me, if its the correct grade and specification it works well, I've used comma and acdelco and never had any problems, instead I rate them more than the expensive stuff.

just to clarify euro car parts normally have some good deals on. with the discount they are very well priced if you cant get the vw stuff
