MK 3.5 - Would you be interested in parts?
« on: 18 May 2012, 19:48 »
I have MK3.5 golf convertible which im going to break for parts, i know they are popular for the front ends and dashboards/dials etc...

Its an AGG 2.0L 8V  But is an auto gearbox, i will sell everything off it, only owes me £500.  just gauging interest and whether you think it will make the money back!  What are your thoughts?

(also has BBS alloys)

I'd take engine, gearbox and brakes if I only had space and time to do the swap.....
My 1.8 AAM with it's 75 horses is annoying me.... even though engine is like spanking new....

I Really want the dashboard, MK4 steering wheel, blue dials and MK4 front end for my MK3, but that wont make the money back it owes me haha!  I havn't looked at what trim does and doesn't fit to be honest, i guess the side trims are the same as the 3dr MK3.  looks the same.

I really want a mk3.5 dashboard, rear view mirrors and sunvisors.  Steering wheel would be nice too.  I could do with an AGG lump as well (shame its not manual).

You would certainly make your money back if you broke it, and then some.  There is plenty of interest for parts out there, and there is certainly more than £500 of parts in the car. Ask sensible money and the stuff will not hang around.

Well iv got a manual AGG for sale if you wanted it. Need to take it out for my conversion, runs sweet too. Had headgasket/belt and tensioner/new leads and plugs. If your prepared to organise a courier.

Sorry for thread hijack, just when you said you were after a manual!

£250 for the front end (includes everything needed to convert inc headlights, looms etc.. as necessary)
£150  for the AGG engine (inc everything attached and looms/ecu etc.. everything for a conversion)
£100 for the engine with just ancillaries attached
£80 for the gbox/torque converter
£80 for the 3.5 style dash (everything attached as requested)
£40 for the Blue/orange dials (just over 100k miles)
£20 for sun visors
£40 for the rear view mirrors
£40 for the steering wheel

How these prices sound as i never stripped a MK3.5 before so let me know if anything is badly priced.

Its taken a bit of general wear to the outer front surface of the wheel its self in the usual places, but otherwise is ok,  I will post photos of anything if you want to see btw. Its about right for 100k miles on it i would say.
