Thats a nice looking vectra you have there mate, iam driving my boyfriends vectra at the mo as my golf has broken down & stuck on my drive

But anyway back to your question, MAF's (mass air flow sensor) is a common problem with all mk4 golf's, it'll make the car feels very sluggish, very easy to replace tho, n cost about £75... not to sure on any other common problems on the tdi models but iam sure someone here will know.

thanks for the comment, i really love my veccy but really want a golf gt tdi lol.  i really want a 130 with 6 speed box but the one i was offered was the 110 with 5 speed lol.  wondering if i'd be better trying to sell the vectra first. you say a knackered MAF would make the car feel sluggish but as my veccy is running at 161 bhp then a 110 tdi will feel sluggish to me anyway lol.

I think you'd be better off trying to sell the vectra privately and then sourcing a 130 tdi.  The vectra looks good though.
