somethings up with my mpg 17.2?...

been driving around getting various different parts for my mk2 16v and noticed the mpg is coming back with 17.2?.....

what the hells going on? this was taking it easy as well not with foot in the engine bay

As Jay says do that and see what you get - if it's that poor & an 8V Digi it could be needing a new blue temp sender....

yep started clocking the miles last sunday and now kind of have a figure,
 
its done 55miles on £15 and sitting on the edge of the red box on the gauge coming home
last night.

what do you think?

i was thinking i could of run a lambo on that and still have change 

to add this was without the big boot and taking it easy..

£15.00 = 2.4 gallons

55 / 2.4 = 22.9mpg... but your just guessing and that around town ain't too bad!
