Never tried the front lip but SteveP painted the one on his old mk6 GTI so he could tell you how to get that off. Having had a quick look under mine it looks simple enough.
I've taken my rear diffuser off, that is very easy, undo a few hex nuts underneath and then there are a load of plastic lugs that just push into the bumper, you just manhandle the thing clear. 5 min job max.

Ahh...thanks.
I've not really looked as I had surgery on my left hand last week, so I'm struggling to do much...but that sounds promising.

oooh, hope it's healing up okay Glen.
Yeah, the back is a very easy job (two handed!), front looks easy too

Sadly not...it's still weeping but got the stitches out today as they had just started to get infected.
Not a big op...to cure 'trigger finger' on my left pinkie.
Not good on a left hander though...and the cut being accross the crease lines on my hand, it's healing slowly.

It sure does...it confirms it's just the fasteners I can see are used to hold the lip on.

Mike, if you have a minute...could you have a look to see what the diagram for the side sill trims looks like?
I'm wondering if they are clipped on, screwed on, stuck on...or a combination of those three.

sills Iirc as it was 2 years ago. Theses bolts underneath, then you slide it backwards on its clips and pull it off.
