Mapping MBE Engine Management
« on: 16 May 2012, 15:34 »
I've got a mk1 golf with a 1.8T BAM engine in, last time it was on the rollers it was only putting out 220bhp and overfuelling alot. It's only used as a track day car it's been sat around all winter and it's about time to get it out again.

Does anyone know of anywhere that custom maps MBE Management in the midlands area, ideally mapping it on a rolling road and able to sort out a little misfire on it aswell.

In antipication of any help and advice,

Thanks

Which version MBE are you running?  Some can be "live real time" remapped and some can only provide live data logging and cycle stop start mapping.

We can provide a service for both its just time involed which differs.

It's an MBE 992 ecu and that's about as much as I know, if thats any help.

Would you be able to sort the misfire out to what ever it is.

Missfire could be down to the wasted spark coil pack not the ecu or mapping?  If you bring the car to us we can get it testing and running fine before starting the mapping.    I am 90% sure we can sort the missfire as there really aint much to go wrong with the 992 ecu.

The 992 ecu can not be mapped or emulated live so its stop start logging and tuning which takes a lot longer.

Is your system a Qpeng setup??

Yeah it's the Qpeng setup I'm running on it. I'm pritty sure the misfire is unrelated to the ecu, but it needs a map aswell to get get the most out of it.

I'll get a trailer or an A Frame sorted so I can get it down to you as it's unbearable to drive on the road. Then give you a call early next week to book it in, so you can take a look and work your magic on it.
