Right I got my BMW wheels, think there 8 or 8 half j, with the minimum 15-20mm adaptors, will this cause any issues with the width?

if they 8" you should be fine on the rear may be a little big for the front

Off set if the wheels are 35-42 Apprently

Might be worth checking, BMW wheels tend to have lower offsets than that.
