Yeah I had a look at that Tom, it's a very good job you did there, with plenty of info too.

Just a few questions. Would you use something like Kurust? I don't have an angle grinder but I do have a dremel with disc attachments, would that do the same thing? If you would use kurust, do you sand it down after it turns the rust black or would you use the primer over it then sand, then primer and then sand and paint?

And for lacquer peel, do you just mask off the area, peel the loose lacquer off and spray a new layer of lacquer on top or do I have to rub the whole bit down and start from primer upwards?

Also, there's a few scratches on the bonnet, some of which are pretty nasty looking, however I can't feel them with the finger nail. Would G3 for example blend these in?

Here's pics of the areas I want to sort out this summer. If you would please tell me how you would sort each of these out it'd be a great help

Bumper

Rood lacquer peel

Tailgate paint flaking with a surface layer of rust appearing

Deep scratch, notice some rust on the right one

Door paint all chipped away and starting to rust

Door handle lacquer peel

Indicator paint chip and rusting

Said scratch on the bonnet

Rust appearing where paint has been chipped off by the headlight

Small rust bubble on the roof

Excuse the very dirty car. It's very dusty where I park.

Thats the one I got that I mentioned in my original post. Just checked and it says easy sand too!  :embarassed:

Dunno if I've just been using too much hardener, but I certainly didn't find it easy to sand, which led to uneven levels after applying paint. Luckily I used it on a spare wing so no harm done though.

Yeah I've read reviews on it and says you only need a tiny amount of hardener.
