use jump leads, i always found the the power packs were not always the best, finger crossed it should start!

my gti 8v dose the same after a few days of it no getin used  i think its just the battery tho let me know if you find somehing eles tho. but yeah mines will start with a jump so am not to fussed as it dosnt get used much the now lol

Sounds like a duff battery

i got it running i used my booster pack as a battery charger and it fired up lol,
turns out the remote wire for my amp disconnected so it wasnt turning off when the cd player did so it drained my battery.

lesson learned id say lol
