I get hit for a grand in tax every month, then nearly a grand in mortgage, then all the bills as my misses does not work, how do people manage.....

Got to be hard only one of you working,my mrs actually earns a lot more than me so I don't know how we would cope with just one wage

Rent instead of mortgage. no holidays. no nice cars. 9p noodles. don't use so much electricity, gas. Sky is not a neccesity. the list goes on.

Doesn't sound easy to me sounds like not much fun, I have been there when I got made redundant years ago it took me a while to get back on my feet was a tough time but does make you appreciate everything you have.

I'm talking about nice holidays, nice cars, not having to worry about bills coming in , money isn't everything but certainly makes life a lot easier.

As for mortgages they actually cost less than most rental properties round here

i think people who have money, like to enjoy the finer things in life, where those of us which don't make do and find fun in less expensive means
