Your wage is 158% of the United Kingdom average and 328% of the world average.

And I have trouble making ends meet, count myself very lucky

I don't think anyone 'normal' is exactly rolling in it these days.
I get hit for a grand in tax every month, then nearly a grand in mortgage, then all the bills as my misses does not work, how do people manage..... :undecided:

Stole this from the BBC website as I think its a bit of an eye opener when we are whinging about pay!

I know inflation, cost of living etc affects too, but still, interesting find.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-17543356

Post your results up, see where you rank in the UK and the world, mine is...

Your wage is $2,022. The world average is $1,480.
Your wage is 66% of the United Kingdom average and 137% of the world average.

Your wage is $1,479. The world average is $1,480.
Your wage is 48% of the United Kingdom average and 100% of the world average.

can I whinge about it? seeing as tax, car insurance, fuel, well just about everything is dear here.

Current cars 1995 Golf gti colour concept 2.0 8v 156,000 miles. bmw 316 1.9 129,000. yeah, life's good!

Rent instead of mortgage. no holidays. no nice cars. 9p noodles. don't use so much electricity, gas. Sky is not a neccesity. the list goes on.

it's easy really

(from my parents experience not my own. My dad earns money when he can and my mum does the rest)

Doesn't sound easy to me sounds like not much fun, I have been there when I got made redundant years ago it took me a while to get back on my feet was a tough time but does make you appreciate everything you have.

don't need mortgage sky and stuff to have fun!

god live a little

I'm talking about nice holidays, nice cars, not having to worry about bills coming in , money isn't everything but certainly makes life a lot easier.

As for mortgages they actually cost less than most rental properties round here

i think people who have money, like to enjoy the finer things in life, where those of us which don't make do and find fun in less expensive means :)

See I envy people without money life is simple you make do!
You might not know about indexing and percentages, but the brain works against you in ways you can't imagine, curse or gift?

My kid wanted a harry potter wand so I broke a stick off a tree and said there you go!
