1991 16v Knocking sound after gear change.
« on: 13 May 2012, 18:59 »
Noticed a knocking sound when pulling away and especially changing into second and low speed. It happens when i put my foot on the power after changing gear. It knocks once or twice then pulls away fine.

Engine mounts? Any ideas?

Yep, most likely to be the front engine mount, easy to spot, by grabbing hold of something solid on top of the engine, and rocking it back and forth, while looking down near the bottom of the radiator at the front engine mount... all should become clear
