MK5 rear wiper mod

Alright guys.

Just bought myself a mk5 rear wiper arm...



How do I remove the current wiper arm?

Also do I need anything else other than the actual wiper blade?

Lift up the cap, 13mm spanner IIRC, remove, replace, simples.

Touran blade, sweeps more of the screen

Think you'll also need a new cap over the nut end as the MK4 one won't fit.

Indeed you use the mk5 one

You may need to trim the cap at bottom as on some cars (mine included) the cap catches the glass mid sweep and pops up... trim apx 1mm off the base of cap and you're sorted, like I say its only some models, depends on how the wiper motor was fitted was what I remember reading.

ebay has them for couple of pound,

jus bought one fo rthe touran for 10.38 so once its here ill try fit it see what its like

Rear Wiper Cap - 6Q6 955 435 A, may now be 6Q6 955 435 B, I remember reading about it changing part number?
