Only PITA is the ashtray cover is only available as a LHD version so it looks like a tiny bit of it is missing when the cover it completely shut. But I can live with that

or could just be the normal trim that someones sprayed with spray paint.

havent ever came across a mk4 standard with silver trim apart from the brushed ali from the r32

its solid grey plastic , same colour on rear , and a small chip shows its not paint.

handles were still 'wood' trim. so it was defo not standard.
