does mk2 1.3 speedo cable wrk on o2a box?

Mot time and no speedo on my abf conversion need to know what I need to convert I've read early rado or mk 2 1.3 cable but not fully trusting that they fot in the 02a box? Help lol

Yes the 1.3 cable definitley screws onto the speed sender and works, what I have on mine. Speedo doesn't have to work for mot btw well I didn't have one working for a couple of mot's and still passed

Definastely the 02a in mine is electronic so wasn't sure if a mechanical one would screw straight in. They changed the mot test in january so the test all dash lights and speedo now even if ure speedo screen is cracked it'll fail the mot now gay as. Reading a bit more online and people are sayin u unscrew the electrical sender which will leave the speedo drive in the box then u screw the cable into the top of that is that right? Difficult to see how it goes together eivout havin the right cable

From the photos ive seen the electronic sender has the same gear arrangement as the cable so you just swap them

Haven't seen any pictures I'd like to tho, took the abf speedo out today and the 8v one does have the same square pin that sits in in the speedo drive but obviously doesn't mount. Does the 1.3 one have a different mouting then the 8v?

Apologies for dredging up an old thread, but does anyone have a part number for the 1.3 speedo cable? I'm hesitant to buy one direct from ebay as they never seem to come with the rubber grommets on and they're a pain in the arse to get on!
