My Metalic Black gti is now 6 months old, i'm thinking of waxing/ polishing it etc. Should i wax a newish car or not ? I've searched the detailing forum but the more i look the more i get confused with different products etc. I would prefer somthing that's not too much time consuming as i haven't got as much time nowadays. Thanks in advance for any advice.

You will only get the best out of a wax if the paint has been prep'd properly. So a good wash, clay, polish and wax will give a much better finish. 476 is excellent for durability.

I polished and waxed mine the day I got it.
I polish and wax it regularly but for ease of use and quickness I would recomend autoglym SRP and then a couple of coats of nattys blue wax. It's very easy to apply and remove and lasts well IMO.
