Sky Insurance help please!!!
« on: 10 May 2012, 09:12 »
Hi Mr Sky Insurance man

I recently took out a new policy with you guys, and it was due to start from the 7th but I am still waiting on my policy documents. I have my cover note so fingers crossed I'm not breaking the law, but would be nice to get the full policy documents.

If you could shed some light on the hold up that would be great thanks.

PM me if you need details (Name, D.O.B ect)

Yeah this was the case when I was with Swift cover, but with Sky Insurance they said that they need to speak to my last insurers to confirm the NCB, then when thats all done the paperwork would be in the post to me the same day. I was under the impression that they were speaking to my last insurers on Monday, so I would have expected the paperwork by now????

Just want to make sure I don't get cut short with no insurance thats all.

Hi,

we can only confirm NCB when your policy expires, your previous insurers have told us this is the 23rd May.

Bit worrying they are saying that because on my renewal letter it states the policy runs out on the 7th of May. It should show this on the copy I sent to you guys as proof of NCB.

Does this mean because I asked you guys to start my cover from the 7th of May that I am effectively losing nearly a months’ worth of insurance because my old policy doesn’t run out till the 23rd, meaning I have 2 insurance policies covering me as we speak???
