timing chain/ belt

Hey all,

trying to work out whether I need to get these changed on my new 16v.

It has full vag SH to 100k then various after that. its on 134k at the mo.

what are the change intervals for the timing belt and change??

If you mean the chain that links the 2 cams, there is no interval, if it is noisey then change it, if not then leave it.

As regards to the timing belt, I would (just to be on the safe side) recommend replacing it and the tensioner if you are at all unsure of when it was last done ....cheaper than a bu66ered head ...don't ya fink :wink:
