my best mate has been contacted by a man who wants his custom chopper airbrushed with ver fine detail.
just thought some of you may be interested in seeing the steps as it gets done

so far the petrol tanks has been painted a copper colour then masked round them had a white layed down.
them masked fully and had the design roughly drwn onto it as its a very detailed. then the first lower layer background scalpulled out and airbrushed the first shades then got as far as scalpulling a couple of the cogs out and laying the first background colour for them.
this will be a kind of 3d design so i will keep taking pics as it goes.

Great work,
I used to do stuff like that years ago, and lost the patience to do it years ago
Any of that going to be brushed free hand?
And is the bike going to be called "Tourbillon" by any chance! :lipsrsealed:

just a little bit of shading on a few litle bits

loads to do yet only get the odd hour here and there to do this.
toothed cogs will be wooden and non toothed cogs brass.

still has alot of masking on and it is being peeled off and airbrushed bit by bit to give a multi layered cog effect. so the overspray is not how it will look. still alot to be done and then once the masking has all gone it will be done free hand.
this design has a mixture of wood metal brass water and marble in it so even bits that look painted at the mo some of it is masking to be peeled off.
