whilst underneath the car in my local friendly garage with a ramp putting my exhaust back on

I had a good look around underneath and found a fair bit of oil on the back of the engine under the exhaust manifold and down to the sump and I've been looking for it for quite a while,,,,

any ideas on things to check before I break it by either losing oil pressure (I check levels very often now) or taking the inlet manifold and head off and for some reason refitting is never a reversal of removal!

also any recommendations and advice on fitting an oil pressure gauge?
