Sweet it should fit then my fiberglassing skills are poor though is there any other way to give this more shape i thought about expanding foam then carve/sand it into a shape but that could be a bit of a mess ! any ideas?

use some card and tape it into place to get your mould cover it in some plastic bag of somesort and then fibreglass over the top of it as it hardens it will keep shape if that makes sense i would cover the hole at the front aswell as this can be cut out to suit later  just make sure you cover all other open parts on dash etc not to get fg on them

There not plant pots lol i have a bearded dragon and its food comes in it
