My Golf .:R Collection
« on: 07 May 2012, 07:59 »
Hi everyone.

I am new to this forum. From Johannesburg, South Africa.

I currently own a new VW Golf MK6 .:R, a 2007 Golf MK5 .:R32 and an imported 2003 Golf MK4 .:R32.

We did not receive the Golf 4 .:R32 as an option in South Africa. Let alone the 2 door variants of the Golfs. other than the Mk1 Golf and a handful of mk4 1.6's.
I have owned over 15 VW golfs and recently sold my mk3 GTI 2door Golf imported and my 2009 Golf 5 GTi. To purhchase the mk6 R and the Mk5 R32.

Details
2012 VW Golf 6R
2000km (approx 1200miles)
High Rising Blue
19" Taladega's
DSG, SAT NAV, S/R, Xenons, PDC and Park assist

2007 VW Golf 5 .:R32
Deep Blue Pearl
26000km (approx 16000miles)
DSG, MP3 IPOD Prep, S/R, Xenons, PDC

2003 VW Golf 4 R32 – Imported from London. Purchased from Heathrow VW.
Indigo Blue
47 000 miles (approx 75 000km)
2 door
6spd manual, Konig seats, Xenons, 18” OZ aristos

See pics below.

Thanks. The only attention I receive is when the MK 4.:R32 is out and about as its a 2 door and possibly the only one that I have found registered in SA.

Thanks Anthony,

I bought it from another guy that imported it to SA. He was a returning citizen etc and had all the proper documentation to do so.
If you are staying in SA and want to import a vehicle from your side, its impossible.

Howzit bru, nice cars  You've got some cojones having cars like that in Jozi  Mind you, I imagine those engines won't fit in the taxis
Passat B5.5 2.3 V5 170, with all the extras.

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

Being from SA, how credible do you think this story is?
