OEM airbox slot

just noticed the standard air box on my car looks like a part os missing.

mine is the type with the slot in the front of the snorkel


I've noticed that the back of the snorkel is completely open too. i never noticed this before so don't know if its always been that way or if a panel has fallen off.


can someone check their car to see if they have an opening at the rear of the air intake as well as the cutout at the front

I think i remember seeing it on mine will have a look in the morning if i remember.

Yes me to it was slightly hanging off when I first looked under the bonnet and found it hard to stick back on so left it off incase it fell off, fault it might make car sound nice but didnt,

basically i can see daylight through the slit in the front of the snorkel as its open at the back

I have been watching YouTube videos to compare the sounds of the different ones  I'm such a sad so and so!
