Rear brake caliper leaking fluid?

Rear brake caliper is leaking and I mean like mad, is it likely to be a cylinder or is the caliper nakered?

Could just be a flexi pipe you wont know until you look at it with the wheel off  :smiley:

could be what i had, the screw type thing holding the break line on had come loose so was leaking break fluid.

More than likely there is a washer missing from the banjo bolt or it's worn - they crush when tightened to seal and should ideally be replaced for an optimum seal. It's hard to say without seeing or knowing where it's leaking from or whether it had been removed or had anything in the area serviced that would require the removal of the line of the caliper itself.

This happened to me but I replaced the washer with a new copper washer and solved my problem  :smiley:

Lucky I guess but it depends whats leaking on the caliper as to what you can do.

It could be a split brake line pipe, it could possibly be the piston seal maybe??
Whip the wheel off and give it a good check over  :cool:
1.6-1.8t AGU K03s, Forge actuator, Forge 007p, turbo back exhuast, Ths front mount, Catch can, 5 piece silicone boost pipes and creation sports tip. Stage 2 atm 232bhp 270lbs. Waiting for custom mapping :-)

same as me . You can get copper washers in halfords , takes 10 mins to sort but you will need to re-bleed.
