Firstly you take the leather gaitor off the bracket at the bottom, it will have a elastic bottom so just pulls off with a little force, next you will pull the gaitor up so it's inside out which will reveal a silver or gold ring clip, this can be cut off or just bent out of shape to release hear knob the slide up gaitor.
