off to the lake district in a few weeks anyone been and whats there to see etc taking the kids aswell is threre anything worth taking them to see it looks like a lovely place and cant wait to just relax away from the daily stresses of home  :grin:

went when i was about 14 or so with the rugby club to kendal. nice town, the surrounding hills are good for walk and mooching around, and kendal mint cake is beaut :D

cant really comment on much else to do though as we spent the 4 or 5 days playing rugby or messing on around the rugby club

Some lakes, a few trees, a lake, some wild life, a lake, some pretty scenery with a lake...

Alternatively you could pay me what you're paying for your accomodation etc and sit in my nice warm office overlooking the lake in the car park next to our building  :grin: Gwaaaan then, I'll do it for half the price  :evil:

i went to centerparks in lakes last week it is one of the nicest places in the country to visit
