Can anyone tell me if a 5 door mk3 boot lid will fit my 3 door? Are they the same or different?

Both the same, GTI has glass with holes drilled in it for the spoiler however

bootslid is same bud on 3 or 5 door mate .

scrap yard by me has a few mk3s will get a price friday if it helps in any way

thats if its worth the petrol getting it

Early and late cars have different hinges, double hinge on early cars, single on late.. early cars have extra holes in the shell of car..
