ecu swap can any1 help?

ok this may have been covered a few times on here but i cant seem to find it.. i was wondering if it just as easy as swapping ecus over from different vr6s when one engine is odb1 and the other odb2.. the reason i wanna swap them is that the odb1 has been chipped and id like that in my mk2 vr6. any help would be much appreciated..

obd1 and obd2 vr6's are quite different engines ignition wise, plus the obd2 has an immobiliser built in

Cannot see it working tbh, as BB said obd 2 is very different.

is it a mate your getting it from? as wayne and bonebradley say the odb2 is diffrent & immo built in. but if you can try it out by all means go for it. but seems like you will need to buy it.

A lad from our club did a vr6 conversion on a 3.5 cabriolet, which is obd2, unfortunately or him his donor car was obd1 an he didn't know what the guys here mention, the only way he got around it was by buying obd2 setup....  If you have I spend any money to try it out, be prepared to find it might not be possible to do, good luck dude!!!
