Ok the golf has to go
« on: 30 April 2012, 19:20 »
Ok the golf has to go sadly, as baby number 4 is on the way. Won't be long and I can have my own 5 a side football team.
I was looking at a transporter? But am stuck as the touran is quite nice. And a mate has suggested the sharan.
I want to stay with vw but am stumped on a choise, not that I want anyone to make the choise I'm just after views and coments.
And do I sell my golf as it is or put it back to standard??

as said put back to standard will sell better, i have two kids and a big dog we had a galaxy untill it was stolen im looking at tourans as im loving the vw family and is insurance group 6 as opposed to group 12 on the galaxy, but think it might be a little small for you with 4 kids when you consider buggys and pushchairs, our galaxy was lovely and of course is exactly the same more or less as a sharan just make sure you go diesel as 2.3 petrols are thirsty and the v6 ouch, once you have had an mpv you love them so handy for doing stuff with, picked up my dining room suite with ours and saved delivery fee its like a van with seats out.

im in the same vote maybe we should have a match when they are older lol my golf up for sale also sell your bits thats what im doing,
galaxy sharan and alhambra all the same tdi vw engine up to 2006 i think with the galaxy
1.9 130bhp obviously the best choice for power stay away from the petrols as they are a thirsty and v6 as mentioned ouchhh!
1.8 20v turbo  alhambra is also a good car but not as economical as diesels, lots of choice
galaxy ghia model is the best
alhambra stylance or se dont go for s as base model
and the sharan carat a real cracker
depending on your budget
as for the touran
these are lovely also but not an everyday 7 seater and cramped in the very back when the kids get older,
that was my choice when i tried one with 5 older kids no good for room
galaxys etc
take out the seats and you have a van with windows had motorcycle and anything i can get in it good choice
as vw keep it maintained and will last forever
hope this helps
taxation class on my 2001 115 tdi is £107 6 mths £190 12mths
a lot of difference from the 130 tdi golfs
al lthe best in finding something
