1.8t into 4motion

Would the 1.8T produce enough power to make the 4 wheel drive worth it? I mean what are the 4mo engines producing stock?

just over 200 but a mine had 236   an its a 1.8t in my s3

could it not be done using s3 lump into 1.8t shell its still quattro with a bit more power 
or just buy an s3 1.8t with quattro already with no messing around 

Quattro is the audi 4x4 system!

yeah i know  just think it would be easier than fannying about to just buy an s3 or am i missing summat

Well I'm running quite abit of power in my 1.8t gti and it's useless just spins up.. And the smallest amout of rain then it's just terrible.. I also have a metg kit n few other bits that I've not yet done.. Have considered a s3.. Just really like the mk4 and thought it would be difrent

The S3 models between 99 and 03 uses the same system as the golf 4motion and r32 Haldex!! even though its called quattro it isnt

It has been done plenty of times; chap on here has done it; should be a project thread kicking around somewhere

FYI - Quattro is only fitted to A4's and above; S3's use the Haldex system as found in the 4Motion and R32.  Got to love those marketing chaps
