Techniclutch - My experience - Learn from this!
« on: 30 April 2012, 14:45 »
In January I ordered a clutch for my 1.8t which was sold to me as a single mass flywheel and a carbon kevlar clutch, it all sounded great and I ordered one spending over £300. Some days later the clutch arrived and I took it to the mechanic to have it fitted. After a 6 hour stint with the mechanic until 1am we discovered that it was the wrong clutch leaving me without a car and having to catch a taxi to my own engagement party the next day. We discovered that they sent me the wrong flywheel and the clutch was damaged when it came.

I called them many times and after a two and half week delay I got my replacement. I'd like to point out the blatant dishonesty of Techniclutch staff before I move on, the replacement was supposed to arrive on Monday, on Monday they told me Tues, Tues Weds and so on until Saturday when I rung the courier to who they were swinging the blame on who told me they had only been set to collect it on Sat not Monday.

Upon the arrival of the new kit which was a few bolts short they had advised me that I should not worry as they will cover the labor costs of the previous job. I was told to just get the car back on the road and then invoice them for the labor and it would be that simple. I had the job done and in total I paid over 6 hundred pounds not including the actual clutch kit

It’s been four months and everytime I ring them they lie about staff not being there and say I will get a call back. It has never happened. Never. They are rude and very very VERY unprofessional and putting it plainly they’re a bunch of cowboys who are out just to rip people off. I'm in two minds about driving to Blackpool and whacking them. They’re a disgrace.

As for the product itself; it’s not high quality but I hope it serves its purpose considering the amount of headache I've gone through. They still owe me over 200 quid and have no intention of paying it.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY BECAUSE THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!
