Golf Mk2 Grill

Hi

Just wondered if all Golf mk2 gti grills are the same, if anyone knows? I ask because i have just bought a gti 16v grill badge for my 1987 d reg 16v, and it doesnt fit!

Early quaterlight cars have a 7 slat grille. Later "big door" cars and big bumper models have a 5 slat one, so the fitting for the badge will be different.

Early 16V badges would be ubre ebay rare, so it would be cheaper to change the grille, although many purists (me included) would not like to see that, but it may suit you.

Not True.... Headlights fit (as they dont touch the grille) ... Spot/Drivers (Why People call them fog's is beyond me) Lights are a different

I forgot about the inner spots being different. I was assuming he'd buy a grille with the lights already fitted (as most are)
