i used cheap simoniz stuff for my old wheels worked great, its all in the prep,i did 2 coats primer,3 colour and 3 laquer and a littler tip if your painting in a cold garage have a little tub of warm water to sit the tins in to keep it at room temp get a better spray

yeah i will be and i will do  cheers mate.  Yeah everyone says its all in the prep so ill spend a couple of days getting them ready and wet and dry in between coats, i was thinkin 2,3,2 myself? do you reccomend 3 coats of lacquer or was it just an extra layer to seal?

i just thought the 3 coats couldn't do any harm,i found the laquer harder to spray than the paint or primer so plenty of thin coats to stop runs

The finish with cans all depends on the nozzle. I prefer the large fan type spray nozzle. Not sure of the technical term.

Spraying with the halfrauds cans just leaves a patchy finish but I found by changing the nozzle you can get a very wet glossy coat without runs.
