Mystery screw holes in boot
« on: 30 April 2012, 10:40 »
I have just replaced the manky old fibre turret covers in the boot with some nice carpet ones. What the carpet covers have which the fibre ones didn't are two holes which match up with screw holes which were covered up by the fibre covers. Its on the left as you look into the boot between the rear light cluster and the turret. Anyone help me with what there are for?

They're not expensive from the dealership tbh. You can buy an old, original, out of date therefore useless one on ebay thats "rare" for £30, or buy a usable one that contains exactly the same stuff for £20 from the dealer.

On mine (which never had carpet or foam on the turrets) The holes line up with a panel that screws in to that section, and on the other side. There are three screws IIRC. When i got carpets, it had slits in it ( for air flow i read in the manual?) and i cant remember if it had holes or not, will have a look!

It's actually a bracket and strap.  Try ebay.

Bracket & strap... Don't think you can get these new...

The 1st aid kit you can get new as said... Mine is one that came from a raddo and is all out of date... But I don't care just wanted it for the hell of it...

I have been offered silly money for it - but won't sell it...
