I've really mixed views with the black wheels on blue Golfs

Looking at the car from a distance I don't like the black that much, and prefer the silver.

However when I'm up close to the car I like the black wheels !  It matches all the other black trim and looks good IMHO

Crazy I know   ... but I've felt like that for a few months now, having had both on my R

Much prefer the silver ones tbh...

Owning a shadow blue with the charleston shadows and seeing it in all the lights, and this is a colour paint that changes very dramatically with different light conditions as you know.  I always wish the shadows were lighter.......

oddly on a rising blue the black works better on a golf r rather than rocco, i think the silver 19s look superb on RB, all be satin anthracite for the win

Thanks .... I got lucky as just when my first set of tyres on OEM silver alloys were down to 3mm I found a set of OEM black alloys with original factory tyres (6mm tread) on Ebay.  The total cost was not a lot more than a new set of 4 tyres which I would have needed to buy anyway (and the 19" tyres are not cheap!)   The seller was fairly local to me, so I went to have a look and ended up buying the black set.  I polished them up a bit and stuck them on in January.

I'm still undecided which I like best with Rising Blue

I still have the silver alloys as well, which I will probably keep until I sell the car.
