Not a fan of them on the Shadow Blue. I've seen black wheels on other dark blue cars and they have worked better. I think it's because Shadow Blue is one of those colours that needs the right light and angle to really bring out it's hue. Personally I'd go with Anthracite wheels but you'll need to get the same shade as the Shadow Blue. If your Anthracite is too light the wheels will attract too much attention. It's probably better to err on the darker side but Anthracite is definitely what I'd go for.

As for the BBS rims you posted a pic of, I quite like the style.

Not for me either.

Not a fan of the number plate either. I like personal plates, but that one is a real poor effort.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

not a fan of the black on shadow/night blue, always a difficult colour to do justice in a photograph and for me i'd stick with the silver or a smoked chrome on these, in reality i've seen an ed35 in this colour with the shell finish rims and didn't do it for me, my dealer has a 3 door R in steel tray with black rims and it looks immense

Shadow blue is rather dark so I'd prefer a silver wheel for contrast.

I've really mixed views with the black wheels on blue Golfs

Looking at the car from a distance I don't like the black that much, and prefer the silver.

However when I'm up close to the car I like the black wheels !  It matches all the other black trim and looks good IMHO

Crazy I know   ... but I've felt like that for a few months now, having had both on my R
