Springs and Shocks, your lowered GTi pictures?
« on: 29 April 2012, 17:32 »
I'm in the process of buying some new shocks and springs, and need to decide how low, and what springs + shocks to buy.

I have a budget of roughly £300, £350 at a stretch, so if anyone has any advice on what to go that would be great.

Does anyone have any pictures of their gti lowered so i can get an idea of how much to lower mine?

Planning on putting some old rs4 wheels on it, 18"s the 9 spokes, not sure if this will effect what springs i go for...

Any advice would be great!

Heaps of threads on this mate do a search  There are many options Eibach sports springs etc and coilover route  for that price range you can go for Jom etc  Check out http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/  some good deals on there... Obviously you pay for what you get But if your not planning on going to lower than 35mm stick to springs and shocks mate Coils will get you the lowest stance... have a read of some of the other threads plenty of info

lol I had my hazards on as I was "unloading" mate, I just took the pic in between blinks

not sure mate, could be the road not being even, try it on some flat ground and see what it looks like

give time for the spring to settle. put some weight in the back

cement, bodies etc
