Stu's Car - Black mk4!
« on: 28 April 2012, 23:30 »
Haven't started a thread in a while so bear with me please.

So I bought the car around two years ago looking like this!

Did some basic fixes and a few interior bits along with an alpine stereo to start with.

Also painted the front and back badges black then bought coilovers!

1st pic of the car after coils terrible pic lol

Look like this for a while

Tried to DIY vinyl the roof it failed haha

Got some US spec rears

Got some bora clocks

Turned my interior lights into LED's

Lamin-X'd my headlights

Got some wheels for my birthday from my girlfriend which was nice! (we're getting married in October)

Had some rubbing so got a TT ARB and some engine spacers to save the sump

Wheels then went on

Then got some side skirts and an anni front valance, which i sprayed with rattle cans. Oh and I lowered it some more!

Forgot to mention the retrimmed poverty spec seats!

Had a go at rolling arches and tried out some US spec.

Got a rear anni valance!

Had a go at ICE

Sprayed painted my headlining black

Got some new headlights!

How the car ended 2011

Over winter i wanted to put in lot of work to have a new look ready for Ultimate Dubs, I'd smashed the anni valance to bits by going down a pot hole   So a votex was now on the cards just needed to source one i'll come back to that later.

The main thing i was annoyed about was not being about to get low enough so first port of call was a chassis notch.

Next thing was the Stance Solutions Static+ Kit which allows you to raise the car by 50mm if need to clear obstacles.

This was mk1 of the set up to run the lift. Also managed to source a Votex.

Got a tank and welded some feet to it and some solenoids to run the lift to make it lift in 1 second instead of 10.

During this the compressor set itself on fire so I got a Viair.

got the Votex painted (it was in a bad condition so couldn't paint it myself) also got some Lupo mirrors and put the wheels back on all read to go for UD!

This brings us up to date and some more pictures in case you havn't had enough
