had my mot today!!
« on: 26 April 2012, 19:26 »
and the result was...... FAIL!

failed on the wishbone bushes, but the annoying thing is id had them done last year after it was an advisory on the last mot, theyve done 4500 miles and shot right through!

still its in mates garage now to get done and tested tomorrow, 100 quid for test, bushes (oe parts) and fitting isnt bad tho eh?

was surprised that mot tester said its a clean motor, reckons most 10+ year old golfs are failing mots, ive never heard that, unless he means the youths abusing them

Were the bushes cheap ones then?

Not a bad result in the end :afro:

Best bet would be to get the voidless bushes from the S3/R32/TT. Last much longer tighten up the rude and don't Increase harshness like poly bushing.

Yes, cheap sh!te, but weirdly vw ones were only 3 quid more. Bloke on desk was no good and couldnt find voidless ones and i just wanted to get out of there so got normal ones. I even got a reg off a tt for him to check and he said there same part number
