Surely this is wrong. Surely there is a set of regulations that must be followed, like the whole tread being under the arch, if so then it should pass regardless...right?!

i know some people who will fail you on having something dangling from rear view mirror.
then again i know places where you dont need a cat...

Hell bobbarley got an advisory for being lowered

Testers should all have a set standard and follow it. This sh!t would enrage me if I failed cause of spacers when it was totally legal.
Okay a bit of mixed responses, but I think i'll take them off as for the sake of £25 squid.

Why for the sake of £25, keep em on and if he fails you tell him that they are totally legal. If he fails your car for it then you have atleast 24 for a free re test.

bloody hell as the re test changed now as it used to be 10 days round here and its who you know not what you know in some cases  :wink:

spacers may be legal but ask a copper if the ops car is legal an the answer should  be no

 if its not fowling the body or anything and no visual tread poking out which you havent it'll be fine
