Timing belt change.
« on: 26 April 2012, 04:36 »
Hi, my recently bought 52 1.8 T has 63,000 miles on it but the service history is lost. The place I bought it from has serviced it but I'm wondering if the timing belt has been changed.

Am I right in thinking that it is best to replace the belt, water pump and tensioner? :undecided:

Any recommendations as where to buy from and what price to pay.

Thanks.

Without any history, you're better off changing the timing belt asap. Belt, water pump and tensioner, yep.
