Picked up a clunk :( think its from the back

Recently been hearing a clunking/knocking noise when driving. I'm 99% sure it's coming from the back end?

Is there anything I can test? Think I need to take wheels off but it's been peeing it down

Rear beam bushes? Middle exhaust bracket broken?

Exhaust has just been done so thought they would have changed the brackets lol?

Could be bushes, sounds like a worn bushes noise. Will try and have a look tomo if it's not peeing it down

The exhaust mounting point breaks away from the floor and needs welding very common

The centre one usually goes but i have heard of the rear ones going too

yeah ide suspect that if youve just had exhaust changed then they may have knoked it and loosent it a bit more and now its come away.


also depending on how you define "clunk" could be rear top mounts, though thats more of a "knoking" noise(however its hard to make noises through a computer)

Ye very hard to make noises lol, would do a video but it's quite a faint noise

Had joms fitted not long ago and I'm sure they replaced all the mounts

I had a loud clunk and that turned out to be the rear bushes.

I discovered this on MOT day, the friendly mechanic just jubileed them back down to the brackets and passed it
