Induction kits

Just bought a k&N kit thinking my car was a 94 gti not the 96 that it actually is... dilbert.

Can i make the 94 kit either way round as ive heard there are two different parts. bosch and something else.

94 is different, it may fit but tbh your better with a panel filter and a cold air feed.

Early car was Siemens then they switched to Bosch, it should still fit but whatever happens it is not really worth fitting.

yeah best just get a K&N filter made for the original air box with a cold feed pipe and drill the box.

Personally i think when it comes to the golfs,  it doesn't matter what you do, any golf GTI is slow, and always will be so forget the power and put it on to enjoy the extra noise, 16v sounds better than the 8v though.  :grin:

is there any reason why i cant change the AFM? I can alwas put the cone filter in the box and cold air feed that!
