Implications of having timing out?

Without the risk of sounding stupid 

What are the symptoms and implications of having timing out?

Wondering if mine is...I have rough starts after about four hours from last driving it (non-dependant on temperature)

Find it hard to get mpg even when eco driving

And generally doesn't pull too well

Bad fuel economy and poor performance are symptoms of the timing being out

Cheers mate. Could be onto something then! Timing belt was done 40k ago. So is alright for 20k right?

BVR in stoke have quoted £40 to check and adjust the timing. This a good price?

If you are handy with the spanners it is something you can do yourself but that isn't a bad price ad Dave will look after you any way

I dont have the proper vcds - only the free one. Unless you know anyone who can plug in and see if timing is out? Save some pennies
