help jammed bonet

right so i  got my new mk 4 yesterday with inteion of stripping it for spares as loads of blue smoke pours out after being warm for 15 mins. Unfortunitly the bonet is being a major arse!!! Ive undone all the t 25 screws (well bolts )holding it into the slam panel tryed pulling on the clip and on the wire in the drives side foot well to undo it ive got about 3 inchs clearence. But yet cant get the damn thing any higher to open out proply. Does any one have any ideas as to why this is ?? Am i missing a vital bolt any where ?? Ive also tryed to prise the latch open with a flat head screw drive and its haveing none of it . Any advice on how to get the damn thing to open would be apricated thanks

theres a small hole that if you put a flat head screw driver in and turn it releases the catch and it should in theory open you may have to pull grill out the way to get to it but this is how i did mine heres a pic of where i did it on mine they aint the best but gives you an idea hth

:s what are you trying to do here? open the bonet or take the bonet off?

trying to open it to disconect battrey so i can strip the interior etc but its just being a twit (bonet) may man up an see if i can prise it open the catch in side the car is nackerd as well

Dont need to undo any screwes.

use the handle inside if thats broke get under it and pull the wire or do as has been said above. have a search. been coverd before
