I got out of buying peugeots after the 306 gti-6 (nice car for a bit, till stuff started going wrong). Since then, they've produced a steady stream of what to my eyes are the ugliest things on the road, so thanks Peugeot for making it easy not to feel sad about leaving the marque behind. I swear the wheel arches on some of their models were drawn by a drunken donkey.

Was that the 1.6 Turbo PSA unit with 174bhp? If so then it's the same engine that made its way into the MINI Cooper S R56 Models and it's certainly had plenty of issues there too. Dreaded engine rattles seem to be the most common issue. IIRC then the lump has also been dropped into the new DS3 racing models.
