changed boot lid who say mk2's have a corrosion problem!!! see pics

Right then replacing the boot lid on my mk2 gti golf with a smoothed one in about 15 minutes    any advice on these would b appreciated!!!

A) number plate location
B) window out and in
c) general tips

It's alright!!! done it what a ballache! there are two lips on the window rubber if u use the right one it doesn't take 4 hours to put the window in ahem  :embarassed: piece of cake with a bit of wire or clothesline took all of 5 minutes when done properly i'll post some pics later on!

VW stealership want 47.15+vat for a rear window rubber  bloody b*****S  Any ideas where I might get a non original one from?

the rubber is expensive because it is extruded and this is a costly process to do with rubber
