seat leon fr 2.0 tfsi

hi folks my mrs ford focus derv has been breaking alot recently so its time to go,my mrs wants a mk5 gti but i have been looking at the seat,the golf she is looking at is a 05 65,000 miles £7,850 but the seat is a 56 plate 58,000 miles £6,600 also for some reason the seat insurance quote is 460 the gti is 720 why they have the same 200 bhp engine what do you guys think is the best bet,i have a mk4 1.8t so we will be swaping cars every week so we both can drive it,as i will be paying half of everything now as im married lol i know its a golf site so no biased ops  :wink:

i like them i just think they are overpriced compared to a seat leon and the leon has better reviews apart from the interior,going to look at some tomo and test drive what power can these be made to on a stage 1 map

i like them i just think they are overpriced compared to a seat leon and the leon has better reviews apart from the interior,going to look at some tomo and test drive what power can these be made to on a stage 1 map
was the inside that made me sell a leon cupra after a month or so

Wud have to depend on spec I suppose...does one have more than the other?

Totally agree. the touring kit looks brilliant:




And they have more power than the standard GTI. The only thing that lets it down is the interior.  :sick:

I wonder if you can transplant GTI dash into the Leon?

that looks mint that leon,i am totally sold on the leon i am going to show the mrs this pic and try change her mind also why are they a group 14 and the golf is group 17 my mk4 golf 1.8t is more to insure than the leon lol

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

I think they are about the same in terms of materials used and design/layout. So it might not be so noticeable then.
