blue tinted windows

Good evening all GTi'ers,

I am sure that this has been asked thousand times before, but how come come Mk5's I see have a blue tint to the windows and some don't'  was it an option or something or part of a pack?

All pre 07 GTIs came with blue tinted windows.
Without traction power is nothing!

How come VW stopped i then, on later year models. Mines a late 2007 car (Nov 2007)

Probably down to cost as with most things. They changed alot of things through production of the mk5, the colour of the windows, the type of fog lights (projector to reflector), moving the aerial from the rear window to the roof and a few other things I can't remember

I suppose that VW did those changes so that 'joe public' think that it is a new car for that year.

The blue tint looks great & i wish they had kept it for the GTI.

must admit I do like the blue tint from the bmw's mirrors....I replaced the glass in my previous car to the blue tint but not done it to my mk6.
