Heres a few of my favourites from Wydean rally a few weeks back. Was a cracking day out!

silverstone pics are a little 'stationary' for my liking as if the car isnt moving!

Thats is the problem I always have at silverstone. I think theres about 3 in the silverstone stone lot i actually like.

Wind the shutter speed out and get panning.  I'm not saying this is a shining example, but you get the idea of adding motion:

I did have a play with that, think i got maybe 4 or 6 passable ones. Everything else was utter crap!

were you using spot metering and not evaluative?

Yea, spot. Should I try Eval next time?

i would say spot was the way to go, just the shutter speed and a good panning technique! (i have tried, and failed...)

It's photography, which is art.  You're not supposed to just get great photos every single time, or there would be no art to it and everyone could do it.

With panning it needs a lot of practice - just keep on with it and you'll get there - just stand at the side of the road, shooting cars, with a t-shirt that says 'photographer not terrorist'.  Just in case, like.
