i thought only one of them did as some have 2 lambda sensors and the front one normally doesnt throw up the code only the one after the cat? am well confused now

My front one failed a few weeks back and was showing a code

well i aint got a clue then oh well still worth a try aint it cheaper than a cat

well the two lambdas have made a massive difference as it past part of the test but still failed, so changing the CAT next. i think the CAT has had a beating and now its died. I checked both ends with a heat probe and the end furthest away from the end was cooler than the other end so its not heating up. I have a secondhand CAT to try. so fingers crossed.

Ive had no fault codes what so ever on my VAG scanner however on a readiness test it says CAT fail.

Replaced the CAT and it passed with flying colours, the old CAT had nothing left inside so it was completely destroyed!!!
